Here’s what to expect:

OSU Extension in Josephine County is embarking on a bridge year, designed to prepare for a successful, sustainable return according to flyer outlining their Key Messages.

Using a community guided approach, programs will be scaled based available funding, staff, volunteers as well as on guidance from the OSU Extension Josephine County Advisory Council, county commissioners, volunteer involvement and overall community readiness. The long term goal is to reinstate the service district tax collection beginning July 1, 2026, which will allow a full return of services.

This year, the plan is to support the Master Gardener, Master Food Preserver and 4-H programs. In addition, access to classes and the expertise of regional Extension faculty will be available supporting agricultural production, food systems and health.
