OSU Extension Programs Are Starting!
Now that the contract with OSU has been signed by the county commissioners and OSU (after many delays), staff has being hired and programs are beginning. Frank Boothby was began as Community Relations and Program Manager on September 24th.

The OSU Extension Cooperative Services agreement has NOT YET been signed! There’s a big difference between what the commissioners would like the public to believe and what they are actually doing. When the board voted to allow the Extension service to resume in Josephine County, many of us believed it was a done deal. It was NOT. No agreement with OSU has been signed, the buildings that were being used are now housing other county offices, no taxes are being collected at this time, which will have repercussions next year, so the uncertainty of funding will affect recruiting staff and volunteers, and there are probably many more issues to be resolved.
