Keep the pressure on Andreas Blech and the other commissioners to accept the lease for the library!

The August 14 county commissioners meeting ended suddenly, despite Commissioner Barnett yelping, “No, wait a second,…I want to get this done today.”

“We’re going to put an end to the meeting right now…” - Andreas Blech, unelected county commissioner, in response to Commissioner Chris Barnett’s stated desire to vote on the library lease at the August 14 business meeting.

Terminating a public meeting abruptly, without explanation, in direct opposition to another commissioner’s acknowledged request to continue the meeting, and in violation of meeting rules (no debate was allowed) is both unacceptable and an abuse of the duties of the chair.

Take a moment to let the commissioners know how you perceive these actions and keep this issue in the public eye by emailing commissioners (with a cc to a newspaper of your choice) and/or with a letter to the editor.
