OSU is resuming programing, and their website explains the process clearly. Here’s what they say:
"Josephine County Extension Funding and Operations
In 2025-26, local Extension programming is resuming after a 1-year pause in the county's funding partnership with OSU Extension. In this bridge year, we are focused on rebuilding local 4-H and Master Gardener programs and community partnerships. Regional Extension faculty also resumed service to Josephine County, providing residents with access to expertise and research-based information to support agriculture, forestry and health.
We continue working to rebuild relationships and set shared goals with the county, with input from a local advisory council that includes a liaison to the Board of Commissioners (see membership list below)."
"OSU Extension's commitment to Josephine County
Our commitment to Josephine County is as strong as ever. We will do all we can to serve county residents with the resources available to us—now and in the future.
In the long term, we will continue working with elected officials and community members in Josephine County with the intent to maintain vital local funding though the service district so we can continue to serve residents with a full complement of OSU Extension programs and services."
