As Posted on CRG Facebook Page:
At today’s Josephine County weekly business session [9/17/25], City Councilor Kathleen Krohn made a public statement claiming that Citizens for Responsible Government (CRG) and Rogue Indivisible are “related organizations.”
This statement is false.
Our organization has repeatedly clarified publicly that we are not connected to Rogue Indivisible nor are we a part of or endorsing the recall effort against the county commissioners.
At no point has Councilor Krohn contacted or spoken with anyone on the CRG board to verify this information before presenting it as fact in a public forum. A simple visit to the CRG website will clearly show who our board members are and what we stand for.
Additionally, we find her comments regarding the young man who spoke before her to be inappropriate and disrespectful. Publicly questioning his honesty was uncalled for and beneath the standards we expect from our elected officials.
We respectfully request that Councilor Krohn issue a public apology:
- For misrepresenting CRG as being connected to Rogue Indivisible.
- For publicly disparaging a citizen who took the time to speak before the Commission.
CRG exists to advocate for transparency, accountability, and responsible government. Public officials must be held to those same standards, including verifying facts before speaking from the podium.
We remain committed to constructive dialogue and to working with all community leaders and members to ensure accurate information is shared.
